In order to maintain the service’s provided by North Offaly Community Development Network CLG we need to raise €25,000 per annum through fundraising.  Our annual fundraising activities include; Church Gate Collections in Daingean, Killeigh, Clonbullogue, Rhode and Edenderry Parishes, Summer & Christmas Raffles held each year in June and December and the launch of The Friends of North Offaly CDN Members Club.

The Covid -19 epidemic has impacted significantly on the cost of providing our services, as we had to change the way many services are delivered.  In addition, at least three of the local fundraising events which take place annually have to be cancelled this year, in order to ensure the safety of volunteers, staff and others. One of the cancelled events was the Pat Jones Memorial Cycle kindly being organised by the Team 905 Cycling club, of which we were to be one of the beneficiaries.

However, while our ability to fundraise has diminished in the short term, the demand and need for our service is greater than ever and we are determined to do all in our power to continue to meet the needs of all the older and vulnerable people in the area.  While many of our clients live in very rural districts, with low population density, we firmly believe that they have a right to remain living in their own home for as long as possible and we will do everything in our power, to help them continue to live at home, in their community.

NOCDN CLG would like to acknowledge and thank all individuals, businesses and clubs who made donations or who contributed to our services in many different ways over the years, especially during our Christmas and Summer annual raffles.  We are very appreciative and thank you sincerely for your continued support.

We would also like to thank the following organisations who have provided funding for  North Offaly Community Development Network CLG through various Grant Schemes for which our application were successfully. These include; The HSE Midlands, Mountlucas  Windfarm Community Gain Scheme, Offaly County Council, The Department of Social Protection, Tesco Community Fund, Tullamore Credit Union and Offaly Local Development Company.

We also want to acknowledge the various groups and organisations who have organised events on behalf of North Offaly Community Development CLG or donated funds and thank them for their continued support, including; Castla Barna Golf Society, Naomh Mhuire AC Daingean, Faile Vintage Club, CD Launch organised by Jim Dolan and Rahugh Drama Group and many others.
